We have just concluded an exciting mission, rich in lessons and collaborations. The program included:

• Two days of intensive laparoscopic training for young Ethiopian surgeons, using simulators
• Two days dedicated to visiting hospitals across the country to identify centers suitable for integrating minimally invasive surgery
• Finally, two days of specific training in laparoscopic cholecystectomy at Asela Hospital, where our surgeons performed gallbladder removal through laparoscopy
